You cannot read any books here. Book Nest is an app to keep information about books and track your reading.

Yes! You can use our app for free. Free account users can save unlimited number of books and get some reading statistics. But we encourage you to try out Premium app version with lots of additional statistics and other bonuses. To try out free Premium for 7 days, subscribe to the Yearly plan. You can cancel any time before 7-day period with no cost at all.

No, you can use Book Nest without registration. You can access almost all features of the app without creating a profile.

When you register, your data is also saved in a cloud. That way you can access your data from more than one device. You can also add friends to share with them your current and latest read books.

As a Premium user you can create reading goals. You can save your favourite quotes. Reading calendar - get an overview of your reading pattern over a period of year. In statistics you can view charts of Finished books, Minutes spent reading, Pages read for different periods. See your top 3 most owned or read authors, most reread books, most and least reading time per page, most and least days spent reading a book, most pages and reading time per day. Get an overview of your owned books total value. While reading a book, you can see the predicted time left to finish the book.

Yes! Tap on the plus button on the Book collection tab and choose “Scan multiple barcodes”.

Yes! In the Book collection tab press on the three dots icon in the upper right corner. In the menu press “Select”. Tap on books in the list to mark those that you want to update. Use "Mark ..." buttons at the bottom of the screen to update books.

Yes! If you want to sort your books without leading articles, go to Settings. Under section "Book detail settings" activate the toggle "Remove leading articles from book titles".

Yes! Go to book details page and press “Edit” button at the bottom of the screen. Long press book cover image and select your preferred method to change the image.

Yes! Go to book details page and press “Edit” button at the bottom of the screen. Now you can edit any book data as you wish.

Yes! You can use heart icon to create a collection of your favourite books. You can use Tags to mark your books for different collections.

Yes! Go to Profile page and press on the Settings icon in the upper right corner. In the Import/Export section tap on “Import from Goodreads”.

Yes! You can rate a book with stars, mark as favourite and you can also rate it by hot/spicy scale. You can add reviews and notes to your books.

Book tags are words and short phrases that describe a book apart from genre. They are like keywords to later look for books more easily. For example, you could mark some books as “Christmas”, “Greek Gods”, “Enemies to Lovers”.

To edit your genres and tags, open book details. Under "My data" section find the row Genres or Tags. Tap on the button "Add" or on the list of existing genres or tags. You can select multiple genres or tags from the list. You can create a new entry, using input field at the bottom of the page.

To edit book format (series, language, publisher), open book details. Under "Book details" section press button "Edit" at the bottom of the page. Select format from the list. To add a new entry, tap on the plus button. Fill the input field at the bottom of the page.

Yes! You can save as many quotes as you wish. To save quotes, open book details. Under "My data" tab tap "Add" on Quotes row and press "New entry". You can use microphone or camera for easier text input.

Yes! You can share quotes or images with quote. On the Book Collection tab tap on icon in the upper right corner and choose "Quotes". Tap on book in the list and find the quote. Tap on link under the quote to share it. Create an image of a quote:

The fastest way – long press on the book cover and tap “Go to reading”. This will open the new reading form. You can also add a new reading entry by opening book details. On “My data” tab tap on “Add” or “View / add” button in the Reading row. You will see the list of previous reading entries and “New entry” button at the bottom of the screen.

Yes! When you open new Reading entry view, tap on the green play button to start the timer.

Go to Profile page and press on the Settings icon in the upper right corner. In the System settings section deactivate “Hide currently reading section on the main page” toggle.

To add a reading goal, you must be a Premium member. You can add a reading goal by pressing "+" button on the Book collection page or in the Statistics page in Reading goal section.

You don’t have to add the book to the Reading goal. You add reading entries to the book and the information is automatically showed in the Reading goal section. When you have read a book, add a reading entry with activated “Finished the book” toggle.

For a book to be showed in Finished books chart, you must add a reading entry with the date you read the book, and it should be marked as “Finished the book”. You can add a reading entry in book details under “My Data” tab in section Reading.

To see the total value of your books, you must be a Premium member. The total value of books can be found in Statistics section. To add a book value to the total value, mark the book as “I own” and add book value in the book details.

Registered users can see book ratings and reviews of their friends or other registered users if they have given access to that information. If you want to let your friends or other users to see your book ratings and reviews, go to Settings and under Book sharing permissions activate “Show my ratings and reviews” toggle. Also select group that is allowed to see that information by selecting Everyone or Friends next to "Show my read books to".
